Hope there's coming a second season. You see in 1-2 episodes Otonashi who still is in the Afterlife and afterwards it focused on the main character who meet each other again in their next life.

These special might be a flash back of Otonashi...It is quite confusing, but it reminded of the episode in Season 12 when they were talking about a man who created the bug. The programmed NPC said that the programmer falls in love and waited for so long. It might be Otonashi himself, waiting for someone to come by after her second life is over. who knows?

But this could be a continuation too.. He is waiting for Kanade to come by again. Hoping that she will pass by again in afterlife when her second life is over.

it could also be that this is just an other ending
becouse maybe there are multiple endings written in the manga (you know when one ends you go back and face an other possible ending maybe it's that but i really hope that a season 2 is comming.
i just don't think it will

omg i just understand it thats him after everyone disappeared and hes helping everyone reach heaven and hes the consul ^_^ i love this anime so much.
