Brilliant. The anime deals convincingly with the moral and philosophical questions of such magnitude is really impressive. The characters are also amazing and the art is freaking awesome (don't know a lot more wicked environments as Ryuk shinagami world. And the scene that Light declares himself god in his own world....pure gold.
