The renders I do are on full compression on Gimp I have never even moved the bar to see what it would look like uncompressed as you have seen the compressed ones look fine and the kb's are still high so I can only imagine what size they would be uncompressed but on Gimp the highest compression level is 9 which it is automatically set on.
I don't like making png sigs or avi's for that reason the kb's are too limited on here.
