maybe u might want to look at that as an alternative, chrome also has extensions that work pretty much like add-ons, and if u do switch id highly recommend ad-block (blocks all banner, and youtube ads, as well as the ones on vids, and this highly speeds up loading/tab switching times)
(i speak from experience, i sometimes run 15 tabs at a time) |
Are you joking? Chrome is way worse than firefox when it comes to tabs. Chrome uses way more memory, freezes occasionaly on me even though I have a six core processor, crashes (showing the "aw snap" page) every now and then when browsing youtube.
What I also don't like is that Chrome doesn't have an RSS reader, and the autocompletion in address-bar sucks. (I need to type in at least 3 digits to get it to show up ( "ani" for animecrazy.net) and for some sites i have to type out the whole url even though I have it in my bookmarks because it doesn't show up at all. With Firefox I type "a" and its there. Also chromes addons suck and can't properly block - chromes adblock doesn't block, it hides, almost immediately. (It's because Google doesn't want this feature I guess, it lives of ads after all.)
The only thing that's better (still - Firefox is catching up now) is Startup-times.
Firefox has none of these problems.
I'm actually using Chrome now - for 3 weeks, because I messed up my Firefox- profile with about
:config (my fault) so I used this opportunity to try chrome.
