No one really knows, but it's suggested that they are dissolved into reishi and/or reconstructed later into a new being, either in SS(born Shinigami) or the living world(plus)
But what I have to go on there is reaaally vague, and the only thing I have direct support for is that plusses move in a reincarnation circle, though that has never been elaborated on since mentioned.
