Default Re: Koishite Akuma Episode 3

First of all: Yay! Episode Three!

Like I've said in the past, despite all complaints about this show, I am enjoying it now, and this episode was a definite source of proof of this. As far as analysis goes, I would say that episodes 1 and 2 were both the precursor to the fun that was this one.

And I've finally figured out what my issue with the beginning was.

Spoiler
Mako-chan- or "the teacher" as we've called her- wasn't a strong character in the beginning. And I didn't quite feel the chemistry enough despite some wary looks and occassional glances between them, but in this episode, it's as if Kuromiya's character picked up on that, and what I got, as a viewer, was a fun rollercoaster of chemistry!

I definitely enjoyed his stalking her around the school with that cold gaze of his. Suddenly, their possible relationship isn't so lukewarm to me because he's finally after her. I was initially worried that they'd make her character annoy him enough that he falls in love with her. (Since that sometimes happens )

I'm still not believing her acting, but what I am appreciating now is the idea of them getting together provided the atmosphere remains the way it is in this episode.

His lost expression when he says, "I can't find anything to praise!" completely killed me.

Finally, (and I don't know why its suddenly so hard for me to remember names) the boy who likes Takaki. I just adore him. It's like he's the Akira to Kuromiya's Shuji. Kuromiya, as a character, can get bland now and then as his expression changes very little, and like I said in episode 1, the angst sometimes literally suffocates me. But now we get this very teen-like boy who, not only serves as a fun foil for Kuromiya, he also attempts to rationalise the other boy's behaviour making Kuromiya seem ten times more interesting. I honestly hope those two become closer friends or at least that the other boy sticks close by. I'm also hoping he gets his girl.

The only question left to ask is, how will he get out of this without biting her and without dying. Will he willingly die or will they cop out and find some way to reverse his vampire nature?

Over all, I'm ecstatic that this has finally won me over. Since I enjoy finding fun dramas (why else would I be on this website?) to look forward to watching every day after work *is without life*.

Thank you so so so much for the subtitles. The subbing team appears to be constantly working hard just so we can sit back and enjoy this episodes. Thanks for all the hard work and definitely take your time since we all (should) know your work is quality enough for the wait.
