Default What makes a good manga for you?

I am asking you as a manga reader,
what makes a manga a manga?

Is it that it has to be read backwards,
because some manga made outside Japan are read forewards.

Is it maybe that it needs to have a feeling of simplicity.
The drawings shouldnt be too realistic.
Some manga have started to become a bit realistic.

Is it the story?
A hardworking peasant makes it to the top.
This might be the case for alot of JUMP stories,
but manga definitely doesnt stay there for me.

Or could it maybe be that it has to be in black and white,
because some mangas have colour pages at the beginning of a few chapters.

What makes a manga a manga for you?
