And what exactly are the Shinigami Standards of lame? All Renji's Bankai does is turn into a giant snake thingy. Ikkaku just gets some huge blades, but I didn't see much from him. Sure, he may have destroyed stuff when the Dragon woke up, but big whoop.
These characters, along with Ichigo, just recently attained their Bankai form. They have a ways to go before they actually master all of the moves that they are able to attain in that form, and as Mreaper has pointed out, be able to train his body enough to capitalize on the immense speed boost given by his Bankai.
I doubt Zangetsu will still be lame after he slays Aizen.
