Re: Shokojo Seira Episode 3
So...painful...to...watch! I almost can't take it, you know. I mean, I've read the book countless times, but I was always able to dismiss Lavinia because she was just a typical "mean girl" with little to no presence or power. But Maria is just evil incarnate, isn't she?
Thank goodness for Kaito and Emiko-sensei or this drama would be purely unwatchable.
Also, I just loved Emiko-sensei getting the front of her dress caught in the door. I saw it coming, but it still made me crack up and the French teacher's expression like, "huh?"
A Romeo and Juliet episode...I guess they had to fit in some kind of obligatory high school plot trope somewhere.
One thing that bugs me, though, is that I was hoping Seira would show some of the solemn/dismissive human attitude that book!Sarah had in order to put Maria in her place, but I guess since this drama's going for the extremes, there will be no bad-ass Seira. lol. Just this unbelievably sweet and sad girl. Indeed, she is a bit stifling, but that's just me and, of course, the grumpy straight-haired girl.
Still loving this, though. It feels very nostalgic, but at the same time very new.
