This is especially the case since the Core i5-750 can be overclocked to great effect if more performance is desired, easily surpassing the stock clock rate of the $1,000 Core i7-975 Extreme.
but then Tom's hardware said the only time you need core i7 is to rack up 3 video cards on 1 system but then how much money you want to spend? and now what after spent $5k on a system how much are you getting out of it compared to $1.5k system
