| Re: Fate/Alter Spoiler Basic Info: Character Name: Lykaios Thomson Character Age: 27 Home Base: Ghost House Character Appearance: Character Personality:
Lykaios has an old style magus type of personality mixed with a recent style magus type, to put it simple, someone open minded but still preferring some of the old ways, and seems to act more on his principles than instincts. He is graceful and confident, but also easy to talk with. He is has a way with words and knows how to behave in front of society if though he’s barely present in it. Character History:
Head of the Thomson magus family, has lived inside his stronghold(mansion) for years and rarely ever came out. His father married to a common woman, as a result she never got used to the Magus traditional style of life and after some conversation, his father finally secounbed and allowed technology to invade his precious stronghold, it took him awhile to get used to it, but eventually he learned, however he passed away because of an experiment going wrong, because of that the family's Magic Crest was lost. Lykaios was left nothing but books about magecraft and the basics of it, with no Magic Crest available, he had the start the research of the family from scratch using the little notes left by his father. After his mother passed away, this time by some illness, Lykaios didnt waste time to remove most technology out of his mansion, leaving only what had become already normal for him, like TV, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, etc... However he made sure to change the house's structure and complexity. He wasted most his time researching and developing his magecraft. Because of his own nature to alienate from society, he has little relationship with anybody outside the mansion, which involves only one or two butlers/maids. However compared to his father, Lykaios is the much more friendly and social. Magic Crest: Yes Magecraft: Spoiler
Thomson’s magecraft mainly involves around mathematical problems and energy, normally manifesting in the form of lightning, fireworks and bounded fields. Special Types of Bounded Fields: Spoiler Magnetism Field: A Bounded Field that magnetizes an entire area making that area a humming beacon for Lykaios’s lightning spells. Distortion Field: A simple Bounded Field that disrupts light, it redirects light so it cannot enter, making said area pitch black on the inside and invisible from the outside. Repulsive Field: A simple Bounded Field that releases electric pulses to whatever living being may be inside, its painless and impossible to notice physically. The pulses invade the targets mind and cause high degree of nausea and ill disposer, making said beings not want to be anywhere near the area. This works best on normal people or failures of magus has they lack a good magic resistance. Thomson Stronghold Field: A rather extreme complex Bounded Field that has been developed throughout ages by the Thomson family. The field takes years to prepare and activate, and only one is currently active around Thomson’s mansion. Most families create simple fields to warn them of intruders or to scare people away, however the Thomson family have been rather defensive about their research and didn’t stay with just little tricks on their Field. The first thing it does, is hide the area, from the outside only the mansion is visible, and even if its destroyed, from the outside, it would seem as if nothing had happened. Second, it holds mana from escaping the area, to put it simple, unless Lykaios recently walked in front the entrance, it would be extremely hard to notice that a magus lived there without entering the area, it also makes it so mana doesn’t disperse, so when entering the area, the air feels dense and sick from the rather large concentration of mana in the air, this also makes it possible to use a larger quantity of spells inside the area than outside, since magus can just absorb the mana in the air; Lykaios doesn’t notice this dense air since it’s his mana. The third thing it does, is warn Lyraios when an intruder invades his land. The fourth thing it does, is its defensive layers, it consists of three types of lines, each line is filled with land mines type of spells, that activate on contact or remotely; the first line consists of simple shock mines, they are not painful, but rather annoying, they work like the first warning, the second line consists of paralyzing mines, they don’t cause pain, but overload the nervus system to cause paralizism, the third line consists of more devastating spells, they cause large quantities of pain and can fry the brain of a normal person, these land mines are not visible but simple to detect, however with the dense air of mana, its rather hard to notice them in the sea of mana. However it is possible to avoid them by just walking through the path to the mansion.
Special Types of Spells: Spoiler Electric Pulse: A simple yet expensive spell that’s used by chanting “Set” and with a tap of the foot, this causes a shockwave of electricity to come from Lykaios. It is a weak spell that’s only good for self-defensive measures and simple to use. However it cost heavy quantities of mana, and its only possible to use three or four times until Lykaios mana is exhausted. As Lykaios calls it, “It’s a rather pathetic and useless spell that has no offensive capabilities." Reaction Alter: A spell that consist in increasing one's reaction speed and reflexes by overloading the body's nervous system with electricity. It can only double one's speed at best and overuse will cause traumas. Lykaios believes that it was this spell that took his father's life, probably testing its limits and ended up overusing it to the point of death. Reaction Alter Twice: A more powerful version of the previous spell that can only be used during said other spell, it only works for an instance, however in that instance it releases the majority of the electricity from one point of the body, normaly from the feet, granting a large sudden acceleration. At the same time it releases the remaining electricity to all directions, this causes from a third person view, to seem as if Lykaios had turned to lightning. Because it releases the overloading electricity, it does not cause internal damage, however it will cause heavy burns where the majority of electricity was released. El Relampago: A humming lightning sphere that releases constant lightning bolts. It last as long as Lykaios as provides it with mana and will hunt down the target as long as he can directly see the target.
Mystic Code: Spoiler Cross necklace: An ugly handmade cross necklace that’s normally used around the neck, however for utility reasons, its best to have it around the wrist. With reinforcement, it can be used as an electric whip. When activated, the cross floats and vibrates, creating static energy with the air, with a little mana, it can release an electric beam from its tip, it has large penetration capabilities. Mystic Stronghold: The very mansion that Lykaios lives in, is a Mystic Code. It's a self sustaining mansion which is alienated from society, there are no electric cables connected to it, yet it possess electricity, there are no pipes connected to it, yes it possess fresh water. The core of this mansion resides in the mansion's underground basement, in there resides an alter of sorts. By poring one's blood into it, it causes the Mystic Code's power to activate. Reversal of Time, anything residing inside the house, even the house itself reverse time itself to return to its original state, thus repairing any damage that may have been caused to the structure.
