PETA's at it again. They are offering a town in Texas called Turkey a free vegan holiday dinner if the change their name to Tofurky. This of course is the second time throughout the years that they've made the request.

PETA Executive Vice President, Tracy Reiman, says, "By changing its name to 'Tofurky,' Turkey would send a clear message that delicious, savory mock meat is an easy way to celebrate without causing suffering—and give a bird something to be thankful for."

In a "surprising" turn of events, the citizens of Turkey declined. As Mayor Pat Carson said, “Turkey is one of the poorest communities within one of the poorest counties in the state of Texas. We don’t have a lot to be proud of but our heritage.”
