Exactly and people go crazy over far less then that. It is easy to winge about Sasuke but it is a wonder he did not lose it when he was young but it always haunted him too and Itachi made certain of that. It is really no surprise he snapped.
Just because Naruto and Gaara had sad past and became better, Naruto was always good for the most part, at least good hearted. Gaara use to be a killer who became good hearted. Sasuke was a kid who wanted his dad's approval and was jealous of his brother, then everything he knew was gone and the brother he thought he knew was responsible for it. Then after finally getting the revenge he thought he wanted so much he learns the story of why Itachi really done it.
I still think Sasuke's needs his ass kicked at least by Naruto as Naruto still stands by him where everyone else is ready to kill him. However I never said I did not understand the reason behind his insanity but something still has to be done to end it one way or another. I think Naruto knows this, better yet I think Sasuke knows it.
