Kotetsushin Jeeg- Yet another sequel to 1970's mecha classic

ok, description taken from Wiki:
The story of Kotetsushin Jeeg takes place fifty years after the original and features a new cast of characters - primarily the new main character Kenji Kusanagi, a high school student and motorcycle racer who becomes Kotetsushin Jeeg to fight the sudden reappearance of "Haniwa Genjin" ("Haniwa Phantom Gods", or clay robots) from the Jamada Empire ruled by Queen Himika. Other characters include Tsubaki Tamashiro (granddaughter of Miwa Uzuki) and Kyō Misumi, Kenji's partners. Other main characters from the original series also appear.

NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO WATCH THE ORIGINAL KOTETSU JEEG TO UNDERSTAND THE STORY. the events will be told as the story plays out which is a good thing. all you need to know: Monsters attack, hot-blooded teen gets on a Super Robot made by a mysterious organization to kick the monsters' asses, girls with boobs show up, main character beats the living crap out of the monster with hot-blood, guts, and iron lungs......................and a big ass gun. Kotetsushin Jeeg's opening isn't as lively as its original's:

(BUILD UP! bam bam bam bam BUILD UP! bam bam bam bam bara bara bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam)

but its sang by JAM Project, with the almighty Ichiro Mizuki (who sang the original's) so expect it to be good. as for the story, this is actually a PROPER sequel unlike Dancouga Nova. now enjoy the awesomeness:

Plot Summary: It is the year A.D. 2307. Fossil fuels on Earth have been depleted entirely, with mankind turning to the next available power source: solar energy. During this time, 3 orbital elevators with solar power generation systems are built, each under control by the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations (formerly United States of America), the Human Reform League (Russia, China and India) and the Advanced European Union. However, not all countries are able to enjoy the benefits of this system, leading to widespread resentment and war. Arising out of the conflict, a mysterious military organization known as Celestial Being appears, dedicated to end all warfare using Mobile Suits called Gundam. This begins the stories of Gundam Meisters (pilots) Setsuna F. Seiei, Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism and Tiera Erde as they are thrown into conflict between the 3 superpowers and the other various factions.

NOTE: i've been waiting for this for quite a while now, why? so it can prove that its better than SEED, which it already did. the mecha designs are awesome, especially, Dynames, Excia, and Kyrios, (Virtue reminds me of GP-02, but much fatter, does it also carry a nuke?). character designs are quite good as well. now the BAD NEWS: this series will air its first half, go on a break then air the 2nd half later on, estimated airing date: 2010. reasons why might be because Sunrise doesn't want product competition with Code Geass. so yeah, that sucks

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation-one of my 2 most fave Gundam series in the Big screen. 3 Movies COMPLETE

2 Kamille still has anger management problems BUT is still the strongest Newtype

you won't be missing out on much, these 3 movies will give you all the info you need to know about the Gryps War. and again, this is 1 of the 2 of my most fave Gundam series, the other being Turn A. i also messed around Movie 1's quality, good quality, but quite big

Mobile Suit Gundam F91- meh, skip over for a bit

Plot Summary: U.C. 0123 - thirty years of peace across Earth and the space colonies is shattered by the emergence of a new faction called the Crossbones Vanguard. The weak Earth Federation is caught off-guard by the attacks due to their complacency. As a result, the Crossbones Vanguard conquer the Frontier IV colony almost immediately. Caught in the crossfire is college student Seabook Arno, who sees many of his friends killed during the skirmish and discovers that his girlfriend Cecily Fairchild is actually Berah Ronah - heir to the Ronah family clan and the Crossbones Vanguard. He then finds out that his mother is alive and has been working on a new mobile suit codenamed "Gundam Formula-91". Seabook reluctantly pilots the Gundam at first, but slowly discovers the Newtype abilities within him and uses them and the Gundam to turn the tide of the war.

NOTE: Yeah,so i skipped Char's Counterattack, but nevertheless, you won't be missing out on anything. i like this movie, but nowhere near the brilliantness of Counterattack, however, its still damn good. F91 looks
slick as well. now if only Crossbone was animated.............

Featuring a mix of animation media—from traditional cels to 3-D CG rendering to even cel-shaded 2-D animation—these often 3-5 minute shorts cover such events as Domon Kasshu's training (and a bit of a romantic tift with Rain Mikamura) from G Gundam, Amuro Ray battling Quess Paraya from Char's Counterattack, Kamille Bidan training in the Gundam Mk.II from Zeta Gundam, and Canard Pars dueling Prayer Reverie from the Gundam SEED X Astray manga.

NOTE: First of all, this is NOT a new Gundam show, it is however, a juiced up version of previous Gundam shows. Yuusha-Oh GaoGaiGar AKA The King of Braves GaoGaiGar- one of my favorite mecha shows EVER.

Plot Summary: In the year 2005, a race of alien monsters called Zonders emerge from underground and launch a series of attacks on the city of Tokyo. The only defense against these creatures is the secret agency known as the Gutsy Geoid Guard (or 3G) and their ultimate weapon, the awesome giant robot GaoGaiGar. GaoGaiGar's pilot, Guy Shishio, is a former astronaut who was nearly killed two years before when the Zonders first crashed to earth. Guy's life was spared when a mysterious robot lion called Galeon pulled him from the burning shuttle and brought him to Earth. Guy's father, Leo, then used Galeon's technology to rebuild his shattered son as a cyborg, in the hopes that he could stop the aliens when they appear. Now, with Galeon as its core, GaoGaiGar fights to protect Earth. He is aided by a team of transforming robots and by a young boy named Mamoru, who has the power to purify the Zonders' cores, and seems to be connected to the mysterious Galeon.

NOTE: A refreshing mecha series, even if you don't like mecha you might find this quite a treat. although it is aimed for younger audiences, this show is DAMN GOOD no matter how old you are. like i said before it is one of my favorite mecha shows, quite a hard one to find as well. so if you like Over the Top Shouting, Massive Weapons of Mass Destruction, Space Travel, a Brilliant Storyline, an Uber Cool Main Character ( he ain't no wuss unlike Shinji Ikari), and a Super Catchy Opening song, then this is for you.

Yuusha-Oh GaoGaiGar FINAL-bow down to the King of Braves. 8 episodes COMPLETE

Among Chasseur's ranks is Renais Cardiff Shishioh - a former BioNet cyborg with the relentless pursuit of destroying those who took away her humanity. But as GGG and Chasseur fight the BioNet, GGG's bases around the world are suddenly attacked, and the recently-discovered "Q-Parts" and the original Gao Machines are stolen

Super Robot Wars Original Generation OVA
3 episodes. COMPLETE

Plot Summary: Dr.Jurgen of DC developed a global defense system to combat potential alien threats. This system has two elements. First is the VTX-001 Vartoul unmanned anti alien PT. Governing these drones is the ODE worldwide network system. However, this system has a noteworthy secret. A living human is needed to control the ODE core. Furthermore, the ODE core needs human organs to support itself. At the present day, the drone have gone on a mass abduction spree. Kyosuke and co has been sent in to take care of the problem.

NOTE: although this is a standalone series, it's advisable that you play the first 2 GBA games OR Super Robot Wars OGs for the PS2 first to fully understand the story

BALDR Force EXE Resolution- mecha fighting in the internet plus girls? NICE! 4 episodes COMPLETE

Plot Summary: Toru Soma was a member of "Steppen Wolf", a group of hackers. The group decided to do one more hacking attack by attempting to hack into FLAK, a major military organization run by the United Nations to prevent cyber terrorism. However, they were discovered quickly, which resulted in the death of Yuya, Steppen Wolf's leader and Toru's friend, as well as their arrest. In order to avoid a long term in prison, Tooru ultimately decided to join FLAK, in order to find out who killed Yuya. While Toru tries to find the murderer of his friend, he and his new teammates are to defend the wired world from Fei Dao, an extremist group who threatens to disrupt the stability of the wired world.

NOTE: a pretty good series adaptation of a pretty good Eroge/action game. you'll see a LOT of exploding heads in this short series, needless to say, the story is quite intriguing. plus the girls, you can't forget about them. again, this was based off an Eroge Game.

Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn't only protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield.

NOTE: A great short series, the story, quite fresh, was also quite intruiging. i personaly love the high-speed mecha fights (who doesn't?) to make it better they're done in CG! be warned though: The Theory of Relativity makes this anime what it is. they just need more customized mecha

NOTE: Quite a good series. a perfect blend of mecha, actio, and comedy. i loved it. has all elements of Super Robot shows plus some girls. like what i said above, H.P. Lovecraft fans will love this because the whole series' main storyline

ok so, from my knowledge of the game here's my own description, i won't say a lot about the story due to spoilers. sue me if you find it crappy:

basically, a war is being fought due to religon, and 3 kingdoms: Windland, Vietaly, and Sablum. Windland gets partially invaded by Sablum, Windland's King and Queen are assasinated, then a knight takes over and sets up a school: the Rozenberg Academy, where the Party goes for training for to become a Knight for the protection of the kingdom.

Prism Ark, is the second game in the series, the first being Prism Heart. basically, the anime is a mix of both games, which you'll obviously see in the flashbacks

Plot Summary: Photographer Kohei Morioka, while on assignment for a magazine devoted to the occult, enters a dark castle in Germany where he encounters a young vampire girl named Hazuki who tries to turn him into her servant. While Kohei doesn't succumb to Hazuki's will, he does set her free from the barrier keeping her in the castle. He is surprised to find her living with him in Japan.

NOTE: BEWARE, Hazuki's cuteness may affect some of you guys (it affected me). anyways, this ain't your ordinary vampire story, in fact, the story is actually quite good. some action here and there, but the focus is more on randomness that affects the story A LOT. i personally loved this series, you might as well.

Takamachi Nanoha hears his telepathic cries for help and comes to his rescue. When she is given a pearl known as the Raging Heart she is able to transform into Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and wield a staff to fend off the evil that lies within the Seeds. In order to help Yuuno complete his mission, she needs to seal all 21 Jewel Seeds away, but Fate may be playing a hand in the matter to prevent Nanoha's goals.

At this point, Shuji finds out that the one responsible for eliminating the enemy forces is Chise, who reveals herself as a cyborg engineered for mass-destruction.

NOTE: A nice short love story between a dude and a girl, little does that dude know that she's a weapon of mass destruction!
so yeah, you get the point. i personally liked this series. nice mix of Drama along with stuff blowing up as well. don't even ask me about the ending.................................really.
