I have an idea,
you can report them to the ISP and even hire an attorney because it is a federal crime. You could get the FBI to handle the problem and then the problem would be long gone. Just make sure that you keep log of things and not to hack back. You could implement an IPS (intrusion prevention system), put a switch in, use a web proxy traffic engine. You could set aside extra network bandwidth and server processing capacity to withstand sudden surges in traffic. You could geographically distribute your servers... so if one gets taken down the other is up. So one segment goes down from attack and good traffic is rerouted... those might cost you some money but it would be worth it. It might be the same guy from before.... |
