Welcome to the 3rd Anime of the Week!
Where to start? This anime is EXTRAORDINARY. It doesn’t matter if you’re not a boxing fan( although after watching this you will probably want to go join the nearest boxing league). This anime is centered upon Ippo, a high school kid that gets bullied around because he can’t hang around with his friends and smells of fish since he needs to help out his mum with the family fishing business. However, one day whilst getting beaten up he is saved by a boxer and after that incident he becomes determined to become strong.

At the end of the century, nuclear war leaves the world ruined and in a state of violent anarchy.
Kenshiro is the heir of a family of Hokuto Shin Ken, an assassin’s martial arts, handed down from generation to generation to a chosen one. With Hokuto Shin Ken, one can destroy the enemy’s body from the inside by hitting a secret vital point. Kenshiro is seeking his fiance who has been captured by the master of Nanto Roku Seiken martial art, Shin.
On his journey, he meets and begins travelling with Bat and Rinn.
The fighters of Nanto Roku Seikan and Kenshiros elder brother, Raoh, await their arrival. Raoh refers to himself as Ken-Oh, the Ruler of the End of the Century.

King of Fighters: Another Day

The four episodes are set in Southtown, the imaginary city well known to all fans as the stage of numerous death matches throughout the KOF series. Many past heroes of the saga make their appearance here, and the four plots intertwine to create a large-scale drama, that is also linked to the story of KOF Maximum Impact 2.

Freedom

More than 160 years has passed since the orbital station (Skyport) fell on earth and wiped out all of humanity. The moon colony, Eden, has survived and expanded. In the year 2267, at the age of fifteen, Takeru is taking full advantage of Freedom - the short interlude between the end of compulsory education and the rite of becoming a full citizen. He has taken to hanging out with his friends and running his custom built vehicle in the local races.

Mushishi

The Mushi are neither plant nor animal, neither microbe nor fungus. They are more like primitive life forms. Their existence is so innocuous that we don’t notice that they exist until they have manifested some mysterious phenomena. They do not exist to frighten people; they just are.

These are one-off stories about Ginko, the Mushishi, one who knows about the Mushi and who acts as a mediator between humans and Mushi. During his journey, he meets various people and Mushi.

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihonheto

The end of the Edo era marked the last time men would live as samurai and fight entrusting their lives and beliefs to the sword. The peace of the Tokugawa Shogunate begins to crumble with the arrival of Western influence. Amidst this upheaval, the youth of the nation seek a new era, but something else will bring turmoil and chaos. It is called Hasha no Kubi; the Head of the Conqueror. It is said that he who can obtain the Head shall rule over the whole country. However, another shadow being called “Eternal Assassin” is destined to oppose Hasha no Kubi. These two beings have been in eternal conflict, affecting the course of history from the shadows, influencing those who craved power. Some want it for their own, some want it for revenge, and some want it to fulfill their own ideals

Kurosagi: The Black Swindler

Yamashita Tomohisa plays Kurosaki, a young man whose family was destroyed by swindlers. Despite that, Kurosaki grows up to become a con artist known as Kurosagi. As Kurosagi, he swindles other con artists and returns the money to the original victim. He works with the master swindler Katsuragi Toshio (Yamazaki Tsutomu) even though Toshio had a hand in the destruction of Kurosakis family.

Legend

This drama portrays the life of the 19th king of Goguryeo, Hwanwoong, who was sent from the heavens to make the world a better place. He falls in love with Saeoh and gives her the joojak necklace; however, Kajin becomes jealous since Saeoh has given birth to Hwanwoongs son. She takes the baby and throws him off a cliff. Saeoh, thinking that her son had died, is overcome with grief and turns into the black joojak to destroy the world. Hwanwoong is the only one who could stop her. Afterwards, Hwanwoong returns to the Heavens and prophecizes that 2000 years later, the true Joo Shin king will come to Earth. With the help of the four gods, he will rebuild Joo Shin.

Royal Tramp

Royal Tramp tells the story of an unconventional hero who achieved fame and success due to sheer luck and clever gimmicks. Born in a Yangzhou brothel, Wei Xiao Bao is naturally cunning, witty and lazy. Thinking he’s learned everything there is to know about heroes since the beginning of time from patrons of the local teahouse, Xiao Bao decides he wants to be one too. On a whim, he aids Mao Shi Ba, a chivalrous man who d fallen on hard times. Xiao Bao then convinces Mao Shi Ba to bring him to Beijing, where the real adventures begin.
