no, thats not true lol
a vasto lorde is a kind of menos, theres gillian, adjuchas, and vasto lordes, gillian is the lowest form of menos, vasto lorde is the highest, espada #9 was a gillian before he was transformed into an arrancar, the rest are adjuchas, the top 3 espada are believed to have been vasto lordes before they became arrancar.

All of the Espada are, except the one killed by Rukia. Only the vasto lorde-class will assume a humanoid form.
1. Gillian 2. Adjuchas 3. Vasto lorde Gillian - are the tall dudes (Menos Grande) Adjuchas - Are the evolved form that Ichigo and crew took on during the Ashido filler. Another example ( Grimmjow in his panther form in the flashbacks he had) Vasto lorde - The Espada, Fraccion, and the Privaron Espada
