And what exactly are the Shinigami Standards of lame? All Renji's Bankai does is turn into a giant snake thingy. Ikkaku just gets some huge blades, but I didn't see much from him. Sure, he may have destroyed stuff when the Dragon woke up, but big whoop.

These characters, along with Ichigo, just recently attained their Bankai form. They have a ways to go before they actually master all of the moves that they are able to attain in that form, and as Mreaper has pointed out, be able to train his body enough to capitalize on the immense speed boost given by his Bankai.

I doubt Zangetsu will still be lame after he slays Aizen.

Lame in my speak is a mixture of unusual and/or not good. His bankai is strange compared to regular shinigami's because they don't normally don't have the form of a regular weapon like his does. Byakuya even thought it was a joke. Renji's bankai is a huge snake that is controlled by his spirit power and Ikkaku's too strange for my limited knowledge of weapons to describe. Nither have the form of a normal weapon. We also don't know how long Ikkaku had his bankai. Ichigo may have to train his body but that's about it. I don't see that taking 10 years. How many moves do you think zans have? They're not pokemon.

It'll take more than that to make it not lame.

Even though it's the main characters bankai, Zangetsu's is my favorite. I love everything about it. I like the fact that Ichigo obtains Zangetsu's coat. I like the concept of his zanpakuto swallowing his reiatsu, condensing it and releasing it from the tip of the blade and the immense speed. Ichigo's bankai is well known and unique. When he is being persued by a villian they are given the information, "orange hair, and a black bankai", and they know it's him when they see him.
He hasn't used his speed like he used to but man, his speed was dope in his first time using bankai. So thats why it's my favorite.

Thats a splendid explaination of my thinking too~ But in the Anime the Pokemon can use more than 4 moves right?

I love Zangetsu and Senbonzakura very much too, but so far I still love Benihime as a Zampakuto the most and can't wait for Kisuke's Bankai and show more moves with his shikai~

Yeah I'm pretty sure they can use the entire arsenal(after they've learned them) in the anime, though I have yet to see a pokemon battle of that level.
