ZARAKI IS NOT IN SHIKAI!!! His sword is fully released just like Ichigo's was before he called it out. Ichigo was able to kill many weak hollows with it because he had enough spiritual pressure to have a decent sword without shikai. Zaraki's is released in much the same manner but due to his overwhelming spiritual pressure his sword is able to handle much tougher opponents; however when Ichigo got his resolve and used his and Zangetsu power together and cut Zaraki's sword much in the same way Byakuya cut Ichigo's sword when he took back Rukia, and the way Kisuke was able to cut it while he was training Ichigo.

they've come out directly and said that zaraki's sword is released. several times. ichigo's sword wasnt released before he called it out.

theyve told us that there are 2 levels of release, shikai, and bankai. theyve also told us that zaraki's zanpakuto is released, and that he doesnt have bankai. therefore zaraki has shikai. tite couldnt have been any more blunt.

youre implying that there is some half released state before shikai, which is most difinitely just an oppinion.

Haha you mixed definitely and difinitively into your own uber word... at least that's what we'll just say happened.

Secondly, I agree, that is only my opinion about the sword. They say it is in full release but Ichigo's was thought to be in full release when he first got it because it didn't look like just a normal small sword. His sword was enormous when it was first shown and Rukia never said anything like "wow I wonder what that would look like in shikai" she just assumed that is was released. All I was saying is that Zaraki's sword being in shikai should not be in a F.A.Q. answer section because that is your opinion not actuall fact. and if this thread is going to be stickied that will cause problems because people will be stating that as such, when in actuallity it is just the opinion of a strong minded, well versed individual.

Hes unable, to manipulte and control his Spirit power to even the slightest extent. Hinted at, what, I don't know, a bazillion times. Hes always leaking his spiritual pressure said by everyone. Quoted from his father, captain classes have to control the size of their sword, if they didn't they would be carrying around skyscrapers.
So obviously the kid needs some work on controling his SP.
Anyways, its due that that fact, that his sword is huge.

That is what I am saying. Zaraki has the same problem. He doesn't control his SP that is why he has that eye patch to control it for him. His sword is in the same stage that Ichigo's was in pre learning it's name. It is a bubble of his spiritual pressure. That is why it resembles the shape he want's it to instead of it's own shape as that of zangetsu.

Also please stop with the "like Zangetsu comments" it is the farthest from it. Ichigo's knows the name of his sword. He has convos and everything. If Zaraki is in shikai it is nothing like Zangetsu because it is a completely forced released.
