Luri is ROYALTY. She "may" have shinigami powers but thats not very likely as she is attending tea parties with her friends. Very ritualistic tea parties because all her friends are Royals too and subject to getting their marriages arranged for them.
There is currently a "coupe d'etat" as Ishida sez...and that means they are trying to remove the princess from power over the clan. The guards are under the priest's influence so if the princess used the gates, they would apprehend her. They are looking for her in order to dethrone her.
Everyone knows who the Kuchiki's are. Shinigami does not outrank Royalty. Probably they are employed by the Royalty to keep their kingdom at peace.
They are the Gotei 13 Protection squads, after all.





Actually, I am pretty sure they said the Luri's family was a step below the 4 great noble houses. That means, shinigami or not, the kuchikis and yoruichi's house outrank her by far. In fact, if you recall soi's flashbacks, you can remember yoruichi in her preshinigami days, being carried around in much the same way as Luri was. I am pretty sure that the 4 great houses constitute royalty as you described it. Unless I am mistaken, which I could be, this would make your assessment invalid. Also, again to clarify (I apologize to being all over the place), I was asking about rukia's and yoruichi's use of the gate, not Luri's.

I just noticed that in song of the beginning kifune put a good face then it changed to evil!!!!!!

when ichigo fought Zaraki he was using his own power plus zangetsu's power plus his hollows power because the hollow was inside of him at that time but it wasnt causing distruction in zangetsus world like before O_O

Yes if u put it that way then ichigo is pretty weak compared to Zaraki...coz Zaraki only uses his OWN REAISTSU and doesnt even know the name of his sword...n ichigo uses his own,hollow's n zangetsu's power

O.K. Forget the entire episode and it's inconsistencies.. WTF was that last scene with Renji and the two hollows?!?!? were they getting ready for the ultimate BJ attack? gay hollow?
