I agree with the Yammy bit about him being a 0. I really don't like the idea of him being even more powerful than Ulquiorra or Grimmjow. That just seems so wrong to me.

I have a theory. maybe it is a secret power of ichigo's that he himself doesn't know about, that drains the power of anyone around him. While in battle it would be in super mode so that it drains twice as fast.

This would be a good way of explaining why he manages to win against everybody always.
and why all of his friends are so weak, have you noticed that despite having a bankai renji is one of the weakest fighters on the show out of the several battles he has fought he has won only 3. He also fought ichigo twice. So he would have got a double dose of power loss.

Ichigo fought Kenpachi to a standstill with only his shikai, then Kenpachi comes back later and beats up Nnoitra after Nnoitra effortlessly beats up masked bankai'ed Ichigo!

And that's another thing that bothers me... Ichigo's Bankai... It was pretty cool at first, then all of a sudden with the Arancar it was like it stopped working! Ichigo's Bankai made him UNGODLY fast, yet all of a sudden he needs to use his bankai just to keep up with the Arrancar.

The last thing that bothers me: How the HECK are the captains fighting with the Espada? Even if we assume that everyone below Grimmjow is TERRIBLE everyone 4+ should have been a Vausto Lorde (and quite possibly Grimmjow and Nnoitra too). Its been said that the Vausto Lorde's were stronger than captain class Shinigami, if regular captains can fight on equal footing with them then it means that the transformation to Arrancar did absolutely nothing for them.

And why aren't the Vizard there yet?!

I hate how everyone can FLY now. In the SS arc they made a big deal about how useful special flying equipment was, and Ichigo got a badass flying cape, then it turned out Ichigo could fly in Bankai... and now EVERYONE can fly.

Well in the fight between ichigo and kenpachi, kenpachi underestimated ichigo alot. And Ichigo learned a lot in the fight. And thats why kenpachi lost. And why ichigo gotten beaten up by Nnoitra was because he suffered a lot of dmg with the fight between him and grimmjow. So he was barely able to fight,, and Nnoitra was even stronger then grimmjow. May you should watch the fights again and your opinion will change.

True, in that particular case there were mitigating circumstances.

The main complaint I was trying to illustrate with that example was that Ichigo has allegedly become much stronger since taming his inner hollow, and yet the Captain level Shinigami seem to still be about on par with him.

There are so many circumstances preceeding Ichigos failed attempts at Nnoitra, it's clearly not as cut and dry as your proclaim imo. For starters as you may or may not be aware, Ulquiorra seemed to have killed Ichigo prior to his fight with Grimmjow. And sustained minimal healing due to the ritual being inturrupted by Ulquiorra. However he agreed to fight Grimmjow, and did. Not only was he fighting through those injuries, but the exhaustion and injuries from Grimmjows fight as well. Secondly Ichigo never used his mask against Nnoitra but that doesn't really matter.

Anyways, Aizen mentions and makes it clear that shinigami have limits, it's also made obvious that most of our captains aren't even close to these limits. Thus, their room for growth is more the apparent, and shouldn't be a surprise. Ichigo's growth is soley due to being a hybrid, and his skills as a shinigami are minimal in comparison. Although im totally with you on his bankai, but it seems he was trying new things at the beginning of his last Ulquiorra battle though, which is cool.

However your next point is iffy. Under the various circumstances/info given to us, I believe the only existing arrancar vastos are either still being kept secrect, or it's simply Wonderweiss and Barragan. As the level of power between captains can range from extremely powerful to weak, same too applys to adjuchas. Take Grimmjow and Shawlong for example who are both confirmed adjuchas. Arrancars level of evolution becomes apparent apon their released appearance. Same would apply for 1,3-8 in the espada ranks. The only release fitting the humanoid appearance claimed by Hitsugaya, is Barragan so far.

And I have no idea what the purpose of the artifact was, your right that's weird. But the idea of them standing and fighting in the air, was touched apon way before soul society.

100% agree with everything said in this post, power levels are changed all the time just to make for dramatic fights
and the vizard are supposed to be as fast as ichigo(well, some of them at least) so where the hell are they?
