The dome itself is an obstruction of light though, no? So it is all one shadow.

Alright, our first discussion will entertain a fight between Shunsui and Tousen.

We don't know much about Tousens shikai ability "cry" but it seems it knocks the opponent unconscious. Im not sure if this would effect Shunsui; however, if it did there wouldn't be much of a fight. Other than cry, his shikai is nothing Shunsui couldn't handel prior to even releasing shikai.

I think Tousens bankai on the other hand could make quick work of almost anyone. But I have to take into consideration Shunsuis experience as one of the older captains. And his shikai abilities and "rules."

Darkness wouldn't negate his ability to use shikai, or his shikais rules: "The Zanpakutō makes the rules, and anyone who steps within the boundaries of its spiritual energy is forced to play by those rules." Meaning if he were to use the technique Irooni, him not being able to see, smell, or hear Tousen wouldn't matter. As Tousen is subjected to his game, and calling a color would reveal his position.

His speed would also be superior to Tousens, which I don't think I need to elborate on. My vote goes to Shunsui.

+ he also has a bankai that we havent seen yet which should be stronger then his shikai

Yeah I guess it is an obstruction of light, and may cast a shadow on the outside. However light doesn't penetrate the inside, and it's an enclosed area, it's just darkness?

a dome like that wouldn't have any shadow at all... To have a shadow you need light... The dome has no light there fore there isn't a shadow, there is only darkness with no shadows.... Still Shunsui just has to do what ken did... Shunsui is in the center of the dome he can feel the stab of the sword cutting through his hat..

All he has to do is say, "Black" and swing his sword in the direction he just been cut

That might be pretty effective cuz I would think that in complete darkness EVERYTHING is considered black so it wouldn't matter where he cut him. Plus, with everything being black that would make Shunsui completely vulnerable to that color thus making the attack extremely powerful. However, if his Zan decides to play a different game, all bets are off.

His ability isn't limited to just one color, you can't really build an arguement around that. Especially since darkness isn't a color.
Despite that though, were all pretty much saying the samething. I think the consensus is that Shunsui would be the victor, speak up now or were moving on!

His ability isn't limited to one color, but he can choose the color he wants to strike.

The point I was trying to make is this:

"Black can be defined as the visual impression experienced when no visible light reaches the eye."

That means that everything within Tousen's bankai is technically black. That means Shunsui could call out "black" as his color and strike anywhere on Tousen's body (not to mention Tousen IS black lol). Since Shunsui would also be considered all black his attack would inflict the highest amount of damage possible because:

"The higher the risk to yourself the more damage it inflicts" - Shunsui Kyōraku
