well, everyone thought shunsui's was going to be wind-based because of it's name.

but isane's does kind of look like one of those things that attracts lighting, what are they called, lightning conductors?

I'm talking about the recent filler. The one listed as his Zan used a lightning attack on Renji and Rukia.

It's strange though, because its weapon doesn't look like sealed nor shikai state of the zan when wielded.

And everyone was partially right because shunsui's zan is special and it contained abilities pertaining to wind.

True. Maybe those other techniques were the first techniques he learned with his zan and then when he got older is when he got to Kageoni, Takaoni, and Irooni. just thinkin u feel same may go with Ukitake, Im pretty sure has some better stuff than that absorbsion technique. Maybe this is for the Theory thread.

Its not really a theory to assume he learned some abilities before others, or has more abilities heh. Anyways, as wiki states, which makes complete sense, it would be comparable to a spinning top.

I'd have to agree that he's a supporting character at the most. Since his captain hardly takes the battle field I think he's more of an administrator role in SS now. (Or maybe it's always been that way) So unless Tite is planning on putting him in a battle in the future I doubt he'll flesh out his Zanpakuto anytime soon. I'd put Isane in the same boat to, minus the admin role. But meh that's just my take on it.

Meh, if he was gonna take part in the battle he would've taken part when it was the Fraccion / VC fights, he pretty much stands no chance against the monsters ahead (this is based on the fact that he's VC and the assumption that he doesn't have captain powers, which could be debated seeing as he's CC's VC.. but still.. seeing as he was man handled by Ichi way back (back when Ichi was OP and had a decent bankai) then I have no hopes)

He has such a cool looking Zanpakuto though. It kinda saddens me to see him being pushed into the background like he is. I'd love if Tite surprised us all and gave him an Ace up his sleeve?
