Just because I like them as characters I very much hope neither of them die, I can live with Yamamoto dying and any of the other captains (Hitsugaya first, please) but not those 2.

did it say zaraki was the only captain in the gotei 13 without bankai? or did it say that he was the only captain who had attained captain rank through a battle with the previous captain?

ive been under the impression that zaraki was the only captain without bankai, but i dont remember for sure if it said that.

and the "recommendations for 6 (i think?) captains" method doesnt involve bankai, so i guess its possible.

She talked to Hitsugaya before Ichigo left for HM. I also don't see anyone dieing, maybe on the brink of death, but not losing their life. That would leave too many captain positions open, and we damn sure know Kisuke and crew arent coming back.

And why would Soifons zanpaktou not be able to cut them, I don't understand your reasoning.

I also expect yamamoto to die, and be replaced by ukitake. and i doubt hitsugaya will die, too many fanboys/girls will cry over it.

The commander of the stealth corps is always captain of her squad, one of the ways is to be reccomended, or like the Kenpachis, she just filled the rank, when Yourichi left.

Bankai is only one proficiency out of three.

i dont think it was said as a requirement though, that the stealth corps captain was always 2nd squad captain, i thought it was just a tradition, just like the shihoun family having ties to the 2nd squad and the stealth corps.


and on a side note, i think it was drzorba posted this on some thread the other day, and ive seen it on other threads before too, but never had a good argument against it.
something along the lines of:
"maybe isshin was a shiba, and cheated with masaki, and thats why the clan fell, and he left for the real world."
of course, the position was supported better than that.

but anywho drzorba, assuming you read this, if the shiba's fell for adultry, why wouldnt the shihoun's have fell for yorouichi's actions in TBP?

Anyways, I believe it was in tradition to the leaders of the squad reguardless of which family it is.

As the rest of my post stated her Bankai is going to be sexy. Something like the ability to shoot the poison, anyone else have an idea?
