I'm wondering what Kira's Bankai would be, because its hard to see anything increasing other than the amount of weight added.

he hasent even achieved bankai yet tho thts not to say he could be holding out on us, guys u need to remember kira's zan isnt exactly made for sparring and more made for executions, his zan in its shikai form pretty much relies on its powers and one strike one kill moves which is pretty much the most he could pull off the way his zan is shaped and even tho are sharp at the edges, i doubt would do any real serious damage and kira wouldnt be able to out-shunpo the captains :/ and even if he did get them offguard wit it and they block his sword,(the 1st strike wouldnt do much and is even unnoticeable so this would have to happen several times) they, atleast the captains anyways can just raise their reiatsu which pretty much raise their strength aswell, tho kira's zan is cool and is godmod in theory there are many flaws in it

They usually don't stand around spamming large attacks, they do some meaningless exchange of blows first.

And my bad on the weight, I'm not used to pounds and confused them. Still, 2-4 pounds is about 1-2 kg(though of course I have no idea what a zanpakuto weighs, I'll just have to go after katana weight)
That means 2-4 kg on the first strike. Enough to throw your foe off. Then 4-8. that's 4 times what they're used to. And then 8-16 on the third strike. Then 16-32 on the fourth.
Suffice to say, your Zanpakuto doubling its weight is something you can handle, but after only 2 times your fighting style is affected.

And I am still right about the kidou

The fact is Kira would be killed by the captains before they notice what his sword does. That's assuming they don't know what it does in the first place(Like most people he fights). Also Shinigami seem to have super strength. I think it will take more than that to throw them off.

tht shouldnt even be questioned, if the captains have to let atleast other higher authority figures know their shikai and bankai im pretty sure the Lts powers have to be known

aizen's zan specializes in illusions, he made them think thts wht his zan does, in the bleach universe so far only aizen has the ability to do this
and i assume atleast Lt and up has to show it, and in the case of Lts, theirs probably not a test of "if u have bankai show" being as its extremly rare for a Lt to have bankai and even more rarer for lesser seats, which is probably y ikkaku can be under the radar for so long

I'm with Vincent on this. A captain isn't going to be affected by an 2-4kg zan. I mean c'mon man. You're acting like we're talking about Don Kanonji or something. These are elite shinigami!

Ok...Kira can use kidou. Most shinigami's can. How does he have an advantage.

Ok, first of all it's not the actual weight that matters, it's the fact that it's suddenly twice as heavy as before. You'll have to adjust, no matter how little, and your opponent can make use of that. And I think the sword's weight differs pretty much between captains for that matter.
They may be elites, but somehow I've never gotten the feeling that anyone but the senior-4 are expert swordsmen. The rest seem to be ability fighters... or just raw power in Komamura's or kenpachi's case

And Kira doesn't have an advantage just because of his kidou, but he's actually good with it. He can cast binding spells and so on, which aid him in scoring hits on the enemy weapon.
I'm not really sure what we're debating though? I'm saying he has a decent chance, what are you guys arguing?
