i think its supposed to take a really long time to get bankai, but ichigo is going to have to learn it fast in order to save rukia, so i think maybe another character, like the shopkeeper guy or something, might teach him how to do it in a really short amount of time. like 3 days or something crazy.

About those charms, I kind of assumed that it was just an ordinary good luck/protection charm from Masaki, and Isshin pumped a little reiatsu into it, so it would protect Kon later. I didn't really see it as an implication that Masaki was a shinigami.

I think you are wrong, I have thought Masaki was a shinigami the whole time. She either lost her powers or was duped by Grand fisher. I am the only one that thinks the second one is possible.
