I'm starting to think Halibel might be the number 1 espada. Because maybe the reason Baragan took charge is because he thinks he's stronger than Stark and knows that Halibel won't take charge and Stark doesn't really care and Halibel is just quite so she doesn't seem like the leader type. Baragan said to her "I think your underestimating me Halibel" and in some other animes the most quite ones are the most dangerou. Not to mention the fact that Hitsuguya fighting one of the top espada is ridicilous so maybe she will reveal herself as numero uno and Hitsuguya will step down and some other captain will fight her? So I think she might be 1, Stark is number 2 and Baragan is the 3rd Espada.

He wouldn't of turned to Stark who obviously doesn't give a shit about anything and ask him if he had a problem with him taking over. He didn't even turn to Halibel, she would just fall in line because shes the weakest.

I think he was just speaking to her in terms of an adult speaking to a child.

Dunno I wasn't there. I guess because like I said, she was doubting her superior and he just shrugged her off with a quick snide comment. But you also have to take into consideration her satement before his. Your underestimating Aizen Barragan. So Barrgan resonds back and she leaves me with the impression that he just shunned her as if she couldn't do what he could.

Here's one of my older theories pertaining to Isshin holding the hogyoku before Rukia, and why Kisuke switched it from him to her.

So basically Isshins Gigai was Ruined when the hollow attacked in the first chapter.

While in the same fight, Rukai loses her powers, and is forced to recover in a gigai. So using some critical thinking here, they both need new gigais. Isshin goes in for a new one, and Kisuke finds a new hiding spot, guess who; Rukia..

As we all know there are a few different types of gigais:
-The one used on Rukia, which turns a soul into a human and removes their shinigami abilities, and is untracable.
-The one that just houses a shinigami so they can recover etc, and is tracable..
-And one that Kisuke was working on in the Pend arc, which is the one he, Tessai, and vizard use. Which allow them to use the powers, and be seen by humans.

Now that we know Isshin and Rukia need new gigais, and we know the, known different forms of gigais. We can start the remainder of the theory.

Isshin proved to us that he had some form of powerloss, and Kisuke implied that he had something to do with it by mentioning- "If you blamed me for it, it would be problematic."

We know the gigai Kisuke used on Rukia removes your powers slowy until your human. This gigai would explain his powerloss. This is also supported by the fact that in a regular gigai your powers can still be sensed.

Yet, Isshin is not reconized by anyone, thus proving to me, he is in the untracable gigai.

I have also come to the conslusion that the gigai Kisuke and crew are in, do not emit their powers either, like a normal gigai. But we know Isshin is not in one of those becuase one- he doesn't weild his zanpaktou, and two hes in his uniform when fighting with his powers.

So we've established Isshin was in the untracable gigai when the hollow attacked. Kisuke is then presented with a perdiciment. Continue housing the hogyoku in a shinigami who still has a chance to retain his shinigami abilities i.e- still has some, and will still take awhile to drain. Or put it in Rukia, who has no abilities due to giving them to Ichigo. Giving her the untracable gigai that would turn her human faster. Thus hiding the hogyoku indeffenitly; faster.

Kisuke takes his chances, and he does what's best for everyone. Takes a huge risk, and implants the hogyoku in Rukia, and turns her human and spares Isshin his powers. Thus reasurring him well all be safer because she would lose her powers more quickly and it would be hidden forever more quickly.

But that doesn't explain what he's using now. But we haven't seen him leave the house since the grand fissher thus leading me to believe he is now using the gigai Kisuke is using.

This is another theory!
And it's about Shinji Hirakos powers. My take is an ability in which cancels or negates others abilities. Remeber this- Shikai can be released without command when bankai is obtained.

Here we see Shinji has noticed or idenifed an ability, and he pulls Aizen/ imposter out of some form of Kidou, or ability.

Here again Shinji notices an ability being using, looks like getsuga tenshou.
And he uses what looks like some force that cancels it.

Here Grimmjow is starting up a cero, and the same "force" is used again, and cancels the cero. Then we pannel over to Shinji with his zanpaktou out.

So we've established that this "force" has somekind of impact on others abilities.

Wow you've been busy lol
I never noticed Shinji's 'force' before even though I remember all those pages. This definitely backs up your point about Shinji possibly being the one to defeat Aizen if it were possible for this 'force' to negate the illusion effects of Aizen's shikai.
As for Isshin I always assumed him to be in a gigai and this theory affirms that.
