Hey, hi.
Hey so well if your theory for not being a twin blade was that hitsgai shikai was connected by a chain then how come shusiusi(forgot how to spell, but long white hair, and one of the students of yamamoto) shikai is considered twin blades when it is connected by that chain with squares or what not on it.
just throwing that out there

What?!?!...I have no idea what you just said.

He makes a perfectly valid point on an earlier post stating that Hisagi's shikai might not be counted as a double-bladed zanpakuto due to it being one pice because of the connecting chain.
After all, there are only supposed to be two dual-blade zanpakuto in SS.

He confused Ukitake with Shunsui, but I know the Shikai anyway.
Ukitake's shikai blades are also connected though, so that theory doesn't really work out.

One might argue that Hisagi's is actually four-bladed though.

yeah, thanks for correcting what i had gotten wrong and confused on the names lol.
but in the end if it is a dual blade or not i still enjoyed seeing it in aCTION.

well, i have been considering this since i saw their shikai ... twin might not be centered around looks. more so powers. Ukitake with Shunsui seem to have 2 blades that perform the exact same function while Hisagi's blade is used in 2 different ways as stated by hisagi . I can't post the link well because i'm not able to .

doesn't this page mean that the first eight espada could be gillian?...because of their appearance pre-ressurection?

i know they are probably all adjuchas or higher but i hadnt seen the manga version of this bit.

...and kazeshini is one weapon because the author indirectly says so

The first 8 Espada can't be gillian because the 9th says he's the only one.

Gillian are the tall guys, there was only one gillian even amung Grimmjows group.
And I think Ishida was referencing their appearance pre-release. Hense him bringing it up to describe demora who wasn't released, and Iceringer who was an arrancar that never sealed his power in a zanpaktou.

If you think about human appearance and compare say ulquiorra or even Yammy to Wonderweiss or Stark it's obvious they aren't vasto. Yes they have a humaniod shaped body however even demora had a human shaped body, I think it's clear he's referencing "looks." Because they really don't even come close to looking as human as Stark or WW who would easily be mistaken as shinigami.

Well, yammy could be passed off as a very tall body builder(on steroids), and all Ulqui needed was a bit of makeup.
They don't come close to WW or Stark, I agree, but they're not nearly as far off as Demora(weird proportions, way too large, general hollow-ish behaviour).
Funny thing is, Grimmjow looks perfectly human except for his mask, I could easily mistake him for a shinigami, and Szayel... well he had high Int so his chances of a successful human form were greater, Grimmy is either smarter than he seems or just plain lucky.
