agreed,i like it too. i think of the zanpakuto as a part of the wielders power that is sealed into whatever. regardless of what it looks like, it is the same for shinigami & arrancar. i figured that the arrancar sealed in sword form because they were followers of aizen, who like other reapers, practices swordmanship.
so i guess its whats inside the seal that matters...

doesnt Nanao Ise seal hers in the form of a book or is that pure speculation?
Also i wonder if lilynette was shinigamifid before or after becoming starks possession...

nanao keeps her sword in her sleeve. it looks like a wakizashi or tantō.

its anime knowledge. when yamajii fights ukitake and kyoraku she goes to grab it then she couldnt breathe cuz of yamajiis strong powers O-o and her zanpakuto appears in an artbook. forgot the name.

really? yea i've never seen her with a holster but that would be fairly uncomfertable to put it in

well not really >_> a wakizashi or tantō are actually small swords. and she chose to put it their so it cant be uncomfortable to her. besides theirs always soemone to up the anty on weird places to put your zanpakuto. like mayuri. he puts his between his legs DX
