Heyyy I was talkng to a friend today and he told me about a possible rank for Isshin! Think about this, remember in the Pendelum arc how everyone mentioned that the 11th squad captain was just so lazy he never went to meetings thus none of us have seen his face, and Isshin likes to fight and would never let Ichigo beat him. I know this might deffinetley be improbable but just an idea to wrap around and speculate about.

No, because shinji didn't recognise his reiatsu.
Otherwise it'd be probable.

I would think that Isshin could hide his reiatsu pretty well, considering ichigo and others cannot (besides maybe ryuken but quincies are freaky with sensing) and also i dont see why Shinji would have a need to blurt if he sensed him or not. Shinji doesnt seem like the type, oh and also that maybe Urahara couldve given him one of the gigais like rukia's.

I was current with Bleach up until about 200 when I found out there was going to be another 50'ish episodes before the final fight.
This was really upsetting because I was already frustrated with the fact that they kept skipping the fight. They would go up to the fight, then go back, do this several times.

Because Shinji has a perfect memory and can recognize anyone he has ever met from a mile away by their spiritual pressure

At best it would be a slight deterrent from it happening, but Kubo hasn't exactly been caring about plot or making sense for a couple years now.

Anyways, even when the plot WAS going strong stuff got retconned like crazy
