I like the pair Shunsui Kyōraku and Nanao Ise of eight division...
I think their pairing is quite different from others...

I like the sixth division, becasue they havew two ranking officers that have bankai, plus their personalities clash so much that it should have caused a war by now. plus both byakuya and renji have issues with ichigo due to rukia.

also, if I may say so, disregarding the current anime filler, byakuya shoud be in at least the top five strongest captains

plus the bankai alone makes renji the strongest leutenant in soul society.

If you count the defectors then he wouldn't be in the top 5.

Which is why he said disregarding the current filler. But based on what I've seen, it's arguable whether or not Gin or Tousen could fight Byakuya on equal grounds. After all, Gin couldn't quite defeat Hitsugaya in a straight up battle, and Tousen lost to Kenpachi with his eye patch still on (meaning he wasn't at full power).

but Gin wasnt seriously tryn to fight Toshiro, and Gin is about the same age as byakuya im guessing, since they were both kids in the turn back the pedulum arc, but gin was new in the Gotei 13, he may be stronger than byakuya, im pretty sure Gin and Tousen are stronger now, but back in the SS arc i say Gin may have been the same power, but Tousen weaker than byakuya.
