Yea that makes sense, I think it was Balling that said this before. But it seems that they can grow some of their mask back at will, kind of like how the Gran Fisher ripped his mask off for "his true power".

Yea it makes the most sense.. I just don't understand how to fit that in the fact, that this applies to all arrancar. And why they don't all just do this...

I guess we can say that it limits them, it doesn't really give them any more power than they had previously. I think someone said kinda like Zarakis eye patch. They grow it back to limit themselves, but they already had that power, it doesn't make them any stronger, thats just their max power. So the espada and established arrancar, don't do it because its pointless?
