We still don't know how far above normal captains the zero division is and we don't know how powerful the king is at all. He may just be a figurehead that was born into the position and if that is what Aizen wants to change.

That could be where they go with the series eventually. I think a hollow king would be incredibly strong and it might end up everyone finding that is what Aizen was intending so that is Ichigo's next set of opponents; the hollow king and a group of vastos he has as his close followers.

whoa what? how did ichigo come up, and yes if there is a king it is likely it would have vasto lordes round, and aizen would defeat them all and then defeat the king.... ssuuurreee

ok i have changed my mind i do think gin has his own motives, if you watch episode 62 there were some tiny hints, like when aizen used hadou 90 on foxman, gin had asked when aizen had learned how to do something like that which, to me, implies that gin was probably keeping an eye on aizen the whole time and another is when gin was happy that kira was ok, was it guilt for betraying his own lieutenant or does he have some good in him, maybe he is waiting for the right time to make his move

i should have stated that i had a change of mind, after someone had mentioned that gin might be the one to betray aizen and that he has his own motives i looked into it and after watching episode 62 i changed my mind about the whole thing

Haha I was just checking cause that was a complete 540. I agree though. go back and reread this whole thread. It isn't that long and has some great points on the topic. Gin definitely seems like he takes to his subordinates.
