|  Kurosaki Isshin, Ichigo's dad
The question that I keep asking myself is which squad was he a captain of? From what the manga mentioned I believe him to be the former captain of the 10th squad. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Nope Unohana, has been there since the 13 guard squad was established. He was either squad 10, the one promoted to royal guard, or the one that retired. He had of been one of three, unless he met kiskue in the real world.
