back on topic, my theory is that isshin is also a substitute shinigami which is why when he became a shinigami kiske asked him how it felt to be in that body again. i could be wrong but i could be right and if ichi's mom was just a normal person it would explain a lot.

I think he was the captian of squad 6 when the vizards were still captians other wise how would he of known about the vizards when he met up with urahara. Also if you write down all the cptians in the pendilume act all of the captians are named exsept the 6th scuad captian. ( scuad 10 captian had a "untimely demise". )

if he was a captain i don't think that there would be another captain (shinji) that wouldn't recognize his rieatsu. If urahara was the one that turned him into a shinigami that would explain his knowledge of the vizard and aizen.

The 3rd squad captain "decided to kick back and smell the Roses" too. Plus the fact we know Kuchikis grandfather was most likely the captain of that squad.

What that ment was that Rose was the new 3rd scuad captian, altho your rite about kuchki probibly being the 6th scuad captian but we don't know for shure.

"New" someone had to leave in order for him to take their spot. But still, Shinji was already captain, and would of reconized their Spiritual pressure.

Probably not he decided to use the untracable gigai about 20 years ago whereas Kiskue left over 100 years ago. I just don't know how they met.
