i dont think Isshin would care to use His Captains Robe. He Obviously left soul society, so he wouldn't want another Shinigami's Robe. Its His, it seems the robes built into his shinigami form, so its obviously not borrowed

Isn't Ichigo dead? He had to die to get soul reaper powers and they don't have the power to bring people back to life so isn't his body just a gigai?

ive been playing with this thought for a while, what if ichigo doesnt even have any shinigami powers? that whole thing with the pit at urahara's, that was supposed to bring back his shinigami powers. this is also the point where he started to develop his hollow powers. maybe, ALL he got from that pit was hollow powers. and the residuals of rukias power inside him, or possibly contact with the hogekyou (rukia), turned his inner hollow into an arrancar. making it appear like he had shinigami powers, when really, he has arrancar powers. were all assuming ichigo is a vaizard, when he may very well be an arrancar.

this is maybe a stretch, i dont even believe it myself, but its just a thought.

That would be pretty cool, but there isn't much difference between a vizard and arrancar. Just the way they release their swords and how the mask is hidden and brought out in a vizard, while a piece of the mask is scene at all times in an arrancar. It doesn't seem likely but it would be awesome if something along those lines happened

well see, he wouldnt look like an arrancar, because its his inner hollow that would be an arrancar. in essence, he wouldnt be an arrancar, he would just be drawing power from his inner arrancar. and maybe, he doesnt even have shikai or bankai. maybe the fact that his sword is permanently released, is because thats just a random sword that ichigo has. and when he goes bankai, its his inner hollow releasing his zanpakuto.

because outwardly, ichigo only has one release, just like an arrancar.

and maybe all of the getsuga tenshous and stuff are just cero blasts.

it would also make sense, because a "complete" arrancar shouldnt have a mask at all, all of aizen's arrancar havent been able to fully remove the mask, whereas ichigo's inner hollow doesnt even wear a mask. so maybe ichigo's inner hollow is the only "true" arrancar in existence, and ichigo isnt a shinigami at all, just a medium for the hollow inside of him.

All of that makes sence except for the random sword part. It is not some random sword he got when he took Rukias power. The sword is a manisfestation of his spiritual energy.

Secondly I think you hit on a major bomb of a realization. He stabbed himself with Rukia's sword to gain his powers in the first place, and it awoke his own powers within him, but Rukia had the hoyokegen in her when he took her powers. That may have been what awoke his powers and they were arrancar in nature. Maybe his spiritual pressure is so high (would have to be more than Aizen's because Aizen tried to use it to create arrancar and failed...sort of) that he was able to transform into a full arrancar.

Meh, he was in spirit form, and his chain of fate was cut. He was either going to be become a hollow, or if by chance he actually had shinigami abilities, he would become a shinigami.
His hollow transformation began before his shinigami, but he obtained his shinigami abilites which suppresed his hollow into his soul for the moment. Because that power at the time, was greater than his hollows. Instead of just canceling it out, and voiding it.
The only reason this hasn't happened to anyone before, is because they've all passed on to soul society unable to become a hollow there.

I just don't see him being an arrancar, and being able to obtain Bankai, and the various other shinigami abilities. Like any arrancar apon releasing their katana, he would most likely become his hollow, or regular form.

Plus the fact that it wasn't awaken, and to even use it, someone with the spiritual pressure higher than a captain needs to use it ie. Aizen. Theres no way Rukia activated it.
