Since there are so many far fetch theories about Ichigos powers heres one

Maybe Ichigos parents were like Romeo and Juliet

Isshin being a Shinagami and his mother a Hollow
and Ichigo is the love child of that forbidden love

Lol just a far fetch theory while they are going around
It may not be so far fetched as we can see that even those in HM can have feelings for those in the real world
example Nels feelings for Ichigo

One thing thats been bothering me and scuse me if its been brought up before but

How is it that Ichigo seems to have the ability to unintentionally either awaken or give his friends their abilities

Chad
and a few of his classmates have gained the ability to see Hollow and Soul Reapers

I think it was said by Kisuke, that his overflowing spiritual pressure is the reason. But I can't say for sure...

well, ichigo has really high reiatsu, plus his inner hollows reiatsu, it might be enough. plus, theres a difference between "using" the hogekyou, and having it inside you. and like i said, this probably isnt true, just a thought. i dont expect these events to unfold.

i always thought that whole, "ichigo giving his friends power" thing was stupid. it was a really dumb concept, that led to the two lamest characters in the show.

Also why would Aizen have been so interested in Ichigo when they started the HM arc? Aizen was able to stop Ichigo's blade with one finger, so why would he send people out to investigate him?

It has been said all along Ichigo's power is huge he just doesn't know how to use it yet, so it is feasable that he has power on the same level as Aizen and that would awaken the Hoyokegen when he stole Rukia's power.

Ulquiorra answers this question when Grimmjow asks why Ichigo wasn't killed. Ichigo's strength is not in the present, it's in his unprecedented growth rate. In less than a year Ichigo has gone from a nobody to being higher than a normal captain class shinigami, and he's still growing.
