Ichigo vs Old man Zengetsu

whoa! ichigo using his hollow powers without his mask!? the hollowfied getsuga with the mask imprinted, but wait! why was his hollow self reluctant for ichigo to use his mask? was it just a challenge?
i thought way back when ichigo got his mask he was the one he had to suppress it control it/obtain it, but hollow ichigo seemed to talk as if they were one of two different things...

neway...only after he releases the hollowfied getsuga does his hollow self come through on this promise and release his energy, asif he wasn't doing anything before hand! all that power...makes me wonder what if ichigo had his mask on?

additionally, the energy signatures are different! before hollow icchi helped, it was bluish-white then when he helped red strips followed.

Zengetsu after going bankai had a red energy signature! (o.0) but the first time ichigo used his mask that nearly ate him was red without Zengetsu; thus the power used by ichigo must be one of two different. simply meaning varied hollowfication levels of power, but we already knew that lol.. yet not so distinctively.

well... Hichigo went "rawr" and then there was some red around the edges, it made me think of a Getsuga + Cero; regardless of whether or not that was what happened it was a funny thought

But yea... I'm rapidly loosing my prior enthusiasm for this filler... it was awesome when it looked like an actual Zanpactou uprising, but now the solution is just to beat them up... which is pretty freaking lame

I would have expected some negotiation for better living conditions at the very least.

really hope he does though, ichigo beat bankai zangetsu with his hollow form, that was pretty tight, still would love to know how renji won tho, i dont understand that lol. He beat a bankai..

He won't show, for the simple reason that they would then have to reveal SOMETHING about his zanpactou, and he'd be able to talk to it. As this is filler nothing that cannot be undone and ignored will happen.

That was easy... they stopped using their bankai and wandered off...

I suspect that EVERY fight is going to be like that... their Zan's will show off their abilities, then the Shinigami will pull some stupid bullshit and win. There isn't even the faint remote hope that someone might actually die, because this is filler

This episode(236)really got me confused...before this I thought that this arc's timeline,was before the Vizards teach Ichigo how to control his inner hollow.I thought that because when Ichigo was fighting Zangetsu,he didn't use his mask,and when things got ugly for him,his inner hollow appeared and helped him.But in this episode his inner hollow said to Ichigo that in order to help him,he shouldn't use his mask.Maybe I am forgeting something, so if anyone can help...

its in a completely different timeline to the normal story...
it pretty much just confuses everyone,
but thats the way it is
