I assumed from the start that Ivan wasn't arrancar. I was certain he was the guy who set off the trap since that person looks so similar to him. I can't see Kubo introducing any new arrancar at this point (except perhaps as fodder but even that I doubt).

Anyway, really liked this chapter, though I'm really curious about why someone who isn't an arrancar would have part of a hollow mask. Vizards have whole masks, so I don't see why a Quincy equivalent wouldn't.
Could just be a trophy, I guess.

Maybe he's ripped his mask to be extra different from the Vaizard out of spite for shinigami.

How do we know it's not? Is everyone automatically assuming they're Quincy? It looks like that right now, but doesn't it make more sense for them to be able to sneak into SS unnoticed? I was looking at those last two pages and just wondering who the heck are these guys? I was pissed when it didn't say. But I guess there's next week.

Really? I don't know about land borders but I've heard from multiple sources that it's such a pain even just doing flight stopovers on any US territory (because you still have to go through Immigration) that I've avoided US airlines and any Canadian or international flights with stopovers in the US for some time now. And this is even though Canadians get special treatment!

Yea I guess you are right kanna since 9/11 it is hell for stopovers in US but as the airlines hit stricter the land got lax

And yea ichigo always jumps to that conclusion but even if he was there for ishida ichigo would've went anyway

probably because i had this theory that isshin kurosaki was a member of the royal guard before. that being said i thought the royal guard would be wearing hakamas and haoris too. but since they're wearing white over alls you just automatically think QUINCY. no?

I also suspect Isshin's a former RG member, but he doesn't necessarily have to be dressed like them, right? Looked more like he was wearing the torn remains of a captain's haori. And we know Hikifune was a captain before she was promoted to the guard, so maybe he was too and he just doesn't wear their garb.

Who knows. This is Kubo we're talking about, remember. We still don't even know what Aizen thought was so awful about the SK.
