Well, I might have, and I remember my mother once telling me that if I didn't stop crying, I'd make myself sick. Is that really possible?

Yes, crying can cause you a stuffed nose. The bacteria in your stuffed nose stays for longer the more you cry, hence making you get a cold.

Just make sure to blow your nose lots, and drink lots. Then the amount you cry doesn't matter too much. Warm drinks/soup help to keep you away from sickness too.

If I cry for a longer period of time.. like an hour or so.. I usually get stuffy nose and a slight fever.. keeps me in bed for a day.. So.. watching romantic-tragedy movies or dramas usually make me literally "love-sick"..Posted 05-11-2012 at 11:50 PM by Avalonian -
