So, my dream and longing to sing is back after some depression... reason... i pretty much went on a Nightwish binge. Annette and Tarja are such role models to me vocally and there is nothing i love more than to be as good as them or surpass them.
So for the past couple days i've been lurking the Nightwish website, looking at pictures, listenign to Annette sing some of the old Nightwish songs (Her versions of "Everdream" and "Wish I Had an Angel" and "Nemo" and "Dark Chest of Wonders" are amazing!!! <3). Now i know the style i want to aim for, how i want to train my voice. Before, i really had no clue, i was just doing what i was told. Now i'm gonna do my way of singing.
Oh.. and I've been stalking any pictures of Toumas to print out and create a Toumas wall with.
He's so smexy!!! <3 <3 
what can i say? I'm a sucker for the tall dark and handsome.
American Idol 2011 here i come.

and btw, you cant even compare Tarja and Netta! They are two totaly diferent vocalists, to sing like both of them is impossible (well u would get a Within Temptation-like voice), but again... I never compared them. I said they are both amazing vocalists. How did you guys get that? Read for pete's sake!
And it could be possible. Take aspects of their style, Tarja's classical and Annette's pop-like voice and mix. I've been classically trained in my falcetto voice, but for American Idol, i can't be too classical, so my voice can come out sounding like Annette (my natural voice anyways).
And geesh.. some people need to be open-minded. Yes they have two styles, and they each sing the old songs certain ways. For their styles, Tarja sings the old songs amazingly and for Annette's style, she sings teh amazingly. I hate how people turn away from Nightwish because Annette isn't Tarja. Its pathetic! Annette has brought a new sound to Nightwish and Toumas has used his new instrument to such a high level that its amazing! Whether its the new songs or old songs.
BTW: Toumas' songs made Tarja. I've heard some of her solo stuff and its definantly not as good. :'/ sorry to say.Posted 07-20-2009 at 11:30 PM by angel of music

And how is that pathetic if the new vocalist isnt performing like the fans wants? Thats just life, you cant suit everyone =O
Imo the new songs are less metal, and more pop-ish, which aint what I was looking for, but Im hanging in there for the next album! =3

I don't think they sound like two diffrent bands. Toumas makes the music. If Toumas left the band (god shoot me dead if he does!) then i think it would sound like a diffrent band. He is the genius behind the band. Toumas is Nightwish and as long as he's there, the band will sound the same, just with diffrent sounding vocalists.Posted 07-20-2009 at 11:40 PM by angel of music -

Oh dear, the style change is so visible and easy to notice! So in my opinion, Tuomas changed the style the way he wanted (I still praise the man <3), and.. well, it was all to perfectionate it to the new vocalist.
And hell no, the band will never sound the same! One album is very diferent from the others, and thats exactly why I love Tuomas, he is SOOO good to write diferent styles of songs! For example, one can clearly see the diference from Angels Fall First to Nemo, and Wishmaster in between!Posted 07-21-2009 at 12:20 AM by TheBw - Yea, they sound diffrent, but they still have the Nightwish style to them. That's waht i mean. That's one reason i love Skillet, they change on their albums but keep their style, which is awesome.

I think another reason i am head over heels for Nightwish is i don't just listen to the vocals. I'm constantly tuning out the vocals and just MELTING or fangasiming because of the melodies for the piano that TOumas writes... oh gawd!!!
