Capital Punishment, a perverse way
To execute one’s moral beliefs
It runs counter to those who pray
Who espouse forgiveness relief
“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”
A concept ill-used to avenge
Killing is murder, and that’s a raw truth
Why this need for revenge?
It sinks to the criminal level
A depth morality eschews
The death penalty, more attuned for the devil
No moral society should choose

Sorry gabe,
but i gotta say absolute bull. Say someone killed your brother, you would be happy knowing that he is in prison, leading a DECENT life? True being in prison sucks...butttt its still better than death. |

great poem! well organized and written. *clapping* your composition is excellent!
While I believe anyone does kills, rapes, etc. a child should die, I'm not sure if death is letting them off easy. I think I would rather the man or woman that harms my child be tortured endlessly in jail by other inmates before they kill him, than let society stick a nice little needle in the vein. |

But the thing is unless he hurts a child, i doubt he would be hurt in prison.

capital punishement should be banned. that goes under "cruel and unusual punishment" IMO.

^no it doesn't Juvefc not everyone believes it's cruel and in what way is it unusual people have been doing it worldwide since the begining of civilzations and have continued to do so into modern times. Of which they still do so world wide so in no way is capital punishment seen as cruel or unusual.
