I formatted my computer and reinstalled XP and i noticed that i don't have sound
its show me that i have a bad direct sound driver, how do I fix this? and error 88180078
my brother tryed everything almost lol
i am like water and oil with the computers
Some advices please is kinda annoyin from now ...i can't watch nothing on my pc without the sound

oh and how much good is firefox ...mine works like a my granny lol

If you have a sound driver problem, go here, find the company and model of your sound-card, and download the file, and FireFox is like having internet sex.

- Firefox is 6,2x faster than IE (calculations based on time needed to open a page)
More pages allow firefox than they do IE, and if they're both allowed most recommend FF.

As for the direct sound driver, just try to update your sound card driver.
A driver is basically like a key for a car, it won't work without it. And if your key is old and misformed it won't run either and you'll need a new one.
tech-help in a few simple steps:
To update the sound card driver, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
2. Click the Hardware tab.
3. Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
4. Double-click the sound card, and then click the Driver tab.
5. Click Update Driver.

Download the latest Firefox (3.5).
Its much faster than 3.0....
