I dunno where that title came from. I thought about how I love movies and how people think I'm nuts. Nuts led me to crazy which led me to bats in the belfry et viola! Movie Bats! Someone saner might have used Movie Nuts since it makes sense, but yeah.. that ain't me.

One Word Movie Reviews Dec 2007
On my 'other' blog I do something called "One Word Movie Reviews." They're rarely one word, but I try. Heck, sometimes I make up my own word. It's the movie I watched that month. The movies aren't necessarily new, but they've never been seen by me. I thought some of you might enjoy it so I decided to post December's here. By the way, I'm not linking my site because I have no clue of the ages on here and I don't want to responsible for damaging the psyche of fragile minds any more than I already am. Here we go...
Shutter - forgettable
Angel-A - different
9 Lives of Fritz the Cat - insulting, demeaning, and just plain awful
Swashbuckler - alright
License to Wed - amusing
Hellboy: Blood & Iron - familiar
Exiled - fast paced
Balls of Fury - not quite sure what to say about this
Fido - creative
Beowulf - matinee opener; not a feature for the night
Enchanted - disappointing; shows a lack of creativity
I Am Legend - suspensful
The Last Legion - sentimentally good
Running Out of Time - great cat & mouse
Mr. Bean's Holiday - mmm mmm beanie
There's no must see in this bunch. There are more don't waste your times.
Random Review
"I Am Legend"
I haven't read the book in quite some time and am a little sketchy on the details, but I'm almost sure the movie is far from the book. However, it's a damn good movie. Will Smith does an excellent job portraying Dr. Robert Neville, a virologist, who is trying to cure the plague that has all but driven mankind to extinction. He shows depth; his emotions range from sadness to humor, loneliness to borderline insanity. There's enough suspense and action for any fan of the genre. The story is succinct. It tells you what you need to know. It's not an epic adventure so every little nuance isn't explained or delved into nor did it need to be. As I stated, it's a damn good movie.
