I dunno where that title came from. I thought about how I love movies and how people think I'm nuts. Nuts led me to crazy which led me to bats in the belfry et viola! Movie Bats! Someone saner might have used Movie Nuts since it makes sense, but yeah.. that ain't me.

I ususally don't do this. This being writing discussion posts that obviously belong in the forums. Why? A) It's kinda dumb to say post a question about Naruto in a blog when there's an entire section devoted to it. That's an example. I have no clue if any of you have done that. If you have and now your pissed, get over it kid. There's a lot more in this world to be angry over. Secondly, I remember this post by PSP. However, my post has few topics that would hit a few boards and I don't want...

Iron Monkey (1993)
If you've not seen Iron Monkey, you can't call yourself an action or martial arts fan. IM is quirky, campy, and fun, but it's alsow well acted and written. The martial arts action scenes are fantastic and to be honest I preferred them over more popular movies like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. It's a short film (less than 90 minutes) and fun from beginning to end. 4.5 out of 5 stars

Drama Crazed

That's not an exaggeration. I watch more dramas than I do anime. I'll finish a 30 episode drama in 2-3 weeks if I'm watching 1 or 2 other short ones simultaneously. If I'm not watching anything else, I'm done in less than 2 weeks (5 days if the episodes are a half hour). I blame the Hollywood writers and purveyors of all things reality. If those writer bastards hadn't gone on strike, I wouldn't have watched Gokusen live action and it wouldn't have slipped into the 9th ring-ding of couch potato...

A Review: The Eye (2007)

While not as good as the original, this remake of the Pang Brothers' Jian Guai is pretty good. The script could've been a little better and they cut out some of the lead character's investigation, but thanks to Jessica Alba, something I never thought I'd ever say, this movie manages to capture the essence of the original and deliver some tense scenes. Production wise, The Eye is pretty solid. The cast is decent and the cg/efx work is creepy enough. Though I found the script weak, The Eye is actually...

Review: Cello

Cello is a good solid ghost story reminiscent of the ghost stories of old. There are some ghostly effects, but not many. Cello relies mostly on it's cast to relay the fear, dread, confusion, etc and they do a great job. The script is solid and the director built suspense well although a better use of shadows would have made it creepier. The big reveal was obvious to me, but I wasn't quite sure how we were going to get there. All in all, this was a good flick. And I'm sure someone in Hel-lay is already...
