What to do without them..

One day I started thinking what would we do if we no longer would have computers and phones?
The reason why I started to think something like this is because a while ago I tried calling my friend, but for two days he didn't pick up and I couldn't get in touch with him in any way. So of course I got worried and my first thought was that maybe something had happened to him, but luckily he called me later and told me he lost his phone so he had to get a new one.
So that really made me think how weird it would be without any quick connection to the people close to you. I think I would be worried all the time or maybe after a while you would get used to it and perhaps you would keep your important people even closer.
Now that I wrote my thought down, I got even more curious about how it would be. Well you never know, maybe someday we no longer have all this technology.
So what would you do if you would have to be without phones, computers and stuff like that?

I'd make sure I had enough animu backed up to last a long time on disk or whatever.
Then I'd become a productive member of society
Then I'd go to Japan as planned and teach and stuff - I get to do what I love and retain my animu - watching privileges

I think people would get a lot more stuff done; be more social. Worry more about the people in front of them, and working on those bonds, then worrying about people on the other side of the world who are trolls. People would actually take time to talk to their neighbors. We would gather at social places more (e.g. movies, restaurants, reunions, etc..) and spend more time talking face-to-face. We would appreciate our mail carriers more; we would know them more.
