Between Man and Ants

Day 3

i spent last night on the sofa sleeping in my room is not an option at all the ant army have my room completely under siege. The air force is in high activity and their ground troops seem to suddenly pop out of nowhere. Yesterday was a total victory for them but not today. I took out the keyboard and my guitar out. Check for any spies that might have hidden themselves inside of my instruments fortunately there was none.

The war begins. I found the first scouts underneath my bed covers. They’re gone now all of them dead!! I surveyed the entire battle field for signs of their based. i looked for cracked in the ceilings, spaces between the joints/trimmings(I’m not really sure what they are called) where the wall meets the ceiling. There were gaps but there were no signs of the ant army. i started shuffling my stuff around( it is time for me for my general room cleaning).Armed with a broom and a Dustpan i started underneath my study table and my bed. There were some dust gather and some wayward receipts but there were no cracks or holes in the floor board and joints behind or underneath where the ants might be coming from. The gap between the floor and the wall is too small for the giant winged air force. It seems that they are really coming in through the window. But how can they? I already taped up all the visible entry point for them. They must be coming in from somewhere in my room but where? The only place where they could be coming from is the one place I rarely able to check… the area behind or underneath my cabinet. (Good thing that I have a two piece cabinet otherwise it would be really hard to move all by my self. I pulled out the half nearer to my door. There were a couple of litter behind it and a couple of small ants walking. Bingo! It seems that I might be a bit closer. I pulled out the other half… there was a big collection of dirt underneath this one, clear signs of ant activity. I flipped up the light since my cabinet is blocking the sunlight from my window. There it was Ant Central! Hundreds of them! I attacked with my broom, sweeping them into the dustpan. Some of them retaliated a few crawled up my broom and bit my hand forcing me to drop it once and some of them bit at my feet. But regardless of the itching and the expected allergic reactions ill be having later on, I’m planning to end this battle. Har! har! Sweeping them away doesn’t seem to work. Once I got the dirt out of the way I finally caught glimpse of where they are coming from. a series of holes, cracks and gaps. From behind the trimmings or whatever is you call a carved plank of wood that usually lines bottom part of the wall joining the floor boards. I was warned by my doctor against strong chemicals like paint and insecticides I have forgotten exactly what he said but it seems that they have a very bad effect on my blood cells and really I do feel the effect each time I get even the slightest whiff of those stuff. But I have no choice. This is war between those creepy crawling and flying things and me. The result of this battle would depend on who can endure most the billion ant army or me? I took an almost empty can of Baygon and started spraying around the area. More ants came out. I really can’t stand the smell of insecticide it makes me really nauseas, my head hurts like hell and I can’t breathe. I have to leave my room for a while.

Final

After getting rained on I went back into my room to check. It was a total disarray really looking like a battle field none of my stuff is where it wnemy. They as suppose to be.(^^) I went in to see my enemies. There they were littered across the ground some are dead some are half dead. With a flashlight and a brand new bottle of water based Baygon I got from my Lola I went in for the finish. I Sprayed a generous amount into the holes and gaps until a thick foam forms in the openings holding my breathe as much as possible to prevent myself from inhaling too much. And outside one last time and wait for the chemicals to do their work. All forms of life are impotant but I really hate BUGS!!!!!!! LOlz!!!!!
