I should be working, I have exams... I guess just an other late night for me....
This blog post is dedicated to avatar and how much I am LOVING the new series, The Legend of Korra...
I am just able to deal with saturday lectures because I know a new episode is coming out later that day..!
Do any of you watch the show??? (if not you should defo check out Avatar the last airbender!)
How are you liking it so far? (personally, equally as well made as the last series imo but i like this one better because i can identify with the characters more)
Who are your fav characters? (defo Bolin and Korra)

So far, I prefer TLA to Korra. As mysterious as this one is, it lacks the action and multiple cultures that made The Last Airbender so great.
Bending is so underplayed in Korra D: All we ever see is Fire punch/Fire kick. Water and Earth are really only seen in Probending and that's so weak bending wise. Air barely makes an appearance in the show >.>Posted 05-17-2012 at 09:58 PM by pistachio20

the series its still in it's early days. I was recently reading a review online of the latest episode and the reviewer also mentioned something about the lack of multiculturalism in this series. I have to say i wholly disagree; what the avatar series have is somethign i havent seen in many animations. the show and the characters themselves are so diverse but also the creators have drawn their influence from so many areas in the world and incorporated many aspects of wordly sultures into the show. with regarsd to action, i think this seies has alot of action, the latest episode with korra and lin beifong was particularily action packed. I did notice that korra was primarily using fire-bending in her fights last episode but i suppose maybe it was the most appropriate bending for the situation?? and finally (!) air has yet to make an appearance because she has yet to master it!!!!!!!!!Quote:So far, I prefer TLA to Korra. Aang was alot calmer wasnt he!!!! Yeah i think its really interesting that she has already mastered 3 elements.... I guess we'll see her journey in connecting with the spirit world and learning air bending for most of this series. though her already being so good at bending puts her in a good situation to just defend and assume her character as avatar (bring peace and balance to the avatar universe). hmmm- you do make a good point though- i wonder if she'll just face lots of different enemies for the remainder of this story (i.e the entire 3 books).Posted 05-17-2012 at 10:55 PM by halkima

I also don't like that the setting so far is only in Republic city. >_>
Other than that it's good.Posted 05-17-2012 at 11:20 PM by Kira

what made you disinterested in it?? imo its one of those animations that really focus on the story and characters which I think people appreciate and enjoy, if they give it a go. I advice you to try and get into it again, but you abviously dont have to.Posted 05-18-2012 at 08:35 AM by halkima

the soundtrack if definitely epic in my opinionQuote:I friggin love the new series. Its gonna be hard or impossible to surpass The Last Airbender but its different enough and yet familiar at the same time. I love the animation, music, and voice acting. And the plot is definitely building up. Cant wait to see what happens next.
also the voice acting is soooo good!!!! *secretly dreams of becoming a voice actor*Posted 05-18-2012 at 08:36 AM by halkima
