I can't Afford Manga!
So I don't really keep up with manga in the least. I prolly wouldn't mind it, but I'm the kind of guy who would rather hold it in his hand than read it on a computer... so I just don't read it...
That means that when I flip on the new Naruto Shippuuden episodes or the newest Bleach episodes I'm more or less going in blind as to the whole big picture.
A perfect example would be when Ichigo saved oriheme from menos grande he beat the snot outta grimjaw and the very next episode was all of the crew back home. While I understand that was the whole point of going there, I have no idea what happened. Im ean I thought Rukia and Chad were dead or as good as, and I am pretty sure that Oriheme had something to do there. Not to mention the last time I checked the Soul society thought that Oriheme was a traitor... I dunno nothing really made a whole lotta sense.
As for Naruto Shippuuden... I don't understand half of what is going on... I mean Jiraya almost bit it when trainning Naruto and he turned into the lil kyuubi but when he fought orachimaru he didn't seem all that bad ass... I thought Jiraya and Orachimaru where both the same students under the third hokage... so why didn't Orachimaru bite it? I know the plot, but um I am sorta getting sick of getting strung along by the occasional Sasuke appearance.
Further more, in Naruto he went after Akutski (sp) to save Gara, they old lady from the village of sand saved his life... but does he still have the demon inside him? Or is Gara only kinda powerful now? I dunno it sometimes seems that the shows give very little in the way of explination and I was wondering if the Manga helps with some of these questions...

in Bleach when they went from being in Hueco Mundo to back in the Real World, its because that was the start of a filler.

In bleach it's just a biig filler time. I don't watch it because I'm pretty pissed off to see those series while Rukia Chad Uryuu and Renji are in deep... trouble =)
As for Naruto (thou I don't really watch or read this) the old lady gave her life to save Gaara and if I got it right Gaara doesn't have a tailed-demon inside him. What is left is his own ability to control sand. And as for manga... Of course it's a big source for finding more info. But in case of bleach... they pretty much explain everything in the anime... And it was said in the begining of the "New 3rd Squad Captain" series: "Let's let aside the HC story and check out what happened.... lala" That basicly meant: "Y'know, Tite Kubo is now working hard on drawing manga to get far away from the anime. So let'[s let the HC story aside for a while and watch some filler!" But in such anime as One Piece manga is very important. (please read even if you dont watch one piece) The main character Luffy has a scar under his eye. Anime is on 361st episode already but they haven't said why. In manga they explained it on the 1st page of the 1st volume!!! That's why I promised to by muself every OP volume. And y'know if I am right you can't buy every volume of Blaech yet. I mean there are like 22 volumes in shop and 34 in Japan (in japanese of course). So web fansubs are the only way if you are far in episodes (and you are lol). But I still only buy manga. Cuz if I read every chapter of my fav manga on PC I'll be blind. for sure. |

YO i felt the same way while watching bleach. i thought it was a time lapse or something. it pissed me off how could they just throw in fillers just like that. i also wonder how kubo feels about that. i heard that he had nothing to do with the bounto filler arc.

Thanks everyone... I followed Ulti's recomendation and checked out the manag site... it's kinda helped answer a whole lotta my questions. I still gotta say that if were Kubo I prolly would be pissed.
I mean yeah in order to put out shows there has to be some filler... really manga wouldn't come out fast enough, (I suppose, although I'm not sure why) I guess if shows are going to start inserting random filler I would rather see it as Fights or whatnot drawn out into a few more episodes or something often, rather rather than going off on a story line that interupts a normal story arc... I really Hated The bunto storyline/filler, but at least it was plugged in at a place where the life's of main characters weren't at stake... wow, I guess I didn't think much of it until I really looked at the situation. Man screw some half noble family, where's the Uliquera fight... and anything else that might actually have some semblance of a decent story... Oh well thanks for all stopping by... I will get off my soapbox before I start saying I'll prolly regret later. Peace Out... |
