You are gone

Clinging to you tightly my breath mingles with yours
Eyes filled with sadness look away while I hold you in love.
Hope fades, I’m leaving and you are gone.
Remembering you in my dreams alone at night I wake to memories
The past floats by showing me I still love you.
Slowly the nightmare descends, waiting there in painful hope
Finding broken promises, laying there cold and dead.
I leave and you are gone
My head reels as I turn to away satisfied temporarily
Again and again I fall and run, dazed and confused
Ending in tears of horror wishing I was yours once more
But I have left, you are gone.
Struggling each day reminded of you
I see hope at last in the love of my Savoir
Taken in his arms I weep for me and for you,
He weeps too showing me that I’m never alone!
Now I am gone, lost in Him.
